Set-up is quick and easy. Initially, with its high-gloss finish, it looked like an alien mothership that landed in our back yard. Customer Review: Excellent, wrought iron appearing fireplace screen
We were looking for a simple, rectangular screen for a fireplace in an old house. We did not want to screw it to the fireplace to keep it in place. This screen works perfectly. Stands up straight and the doors open without tipping forward. We have been very impressed and use it daily.

Customer Review: Not as good as the other reviews state
I just received this fireplace screen. It is of average quality at best (kind of like something you might find at Garden Ridge). The screen is made in China, the hinges don’t open smoothly, and the welds are bumpy, unpainted, and often not even complete. Some of the other glowing reviews of this screen are suspect in my opinion. If you click on the ’see all my reviews’ link, you will find that many of the reviewers have only reviewed this one item. It is possible that someone with a financial interest in these screens is posting bogus reviews. I regret this purchase and will return it once the seller, American Home Furnishing, replies to my e-mail (strangely, the seller didn’t include a receipt or return instructions in the box).

I, as others, paid close attention to the reviews. The screen arrived very quickly. It is made of high quality metal and very heavy. A great product for the price. I have searched for fireplace screens in many stores and online. Any that were of the quality of this screen cost a lot more and did not seem to be quite as well made. The detail of the metal is absolutely beautiful.

Opened the box, and took out what appeared to be scrap metal soldered by a 1-year old. Put it back in the box. Shipped it back.
